Why buy Pokémon Booster Boxes?
The best reason to buy Pokémon Booster Boxes is to build a collection of the new card series.
For example, when a new set of cards comes out, you can buy a deck and get about ten cards from the new set. Since some Pokémon decks contain over two hundred cards, that's not a good start!
If you purchase a new series booster box, you will receive 36 card packs, averaging 360 cards from the new set.
Since each pack contains about six commons, three uncommons, and one rarer, a booster box gives you a good chance of getting a decent selection of cards in your deck.
Some people buy boost boxes as an investment. These people leave the cardboard box sealed and keep it in collectible condition to resell the whole box years later when the value increases. Others buy the box and open it up to resell individual cards.
Can you earn money by buying Pokemon booster boxes?
Can I earn money by buying booster boxes? Yes, but it's not easy and the chances of your earnings making you rich are slim. Unless, of course, you're willing to sit in that box for a while.
For resale in complete packaging
If you're willing to wait for the cash, it's worth buying genuine, sealed card boxes in mint condition. While waiting, the cartons should be kept well until they become harder to find and increase in value.
As with any other collectible, the rarer and harder to find items are more valuable BUT condition counts.
You can make a lot of money selling a fully sealed box of Pokémon cards, but you also run the risk of having an extremely rare card in your booster box.
In this case, selling an entire box of Pokémon cards might net you less than what you would get for an extremely rare card.
To resell individual tickets
It is also possible to collect individual cards for resale, and booster boxes are a great way to do this. Just buy booster boxes and open each pack of cards to see which ones are worth reselling. These cards must also be in good condition!
However, reselling individual cards can be problematic, as regular cards have very little resale value. This means that opening each pack in a booster box will reveal which rare cards you have, allowing you to charge the purchase price for them.
Is it better to resell Booster Box cards individually or as a sealed box?
When you open a sealed booster box of cards, assume that your booster box contains enough hard-to-find cards to get your money back and then some.
How long should you wait before selling a Booster Box?
For the best return on your investment, keep each carton carefully for years to come. Keep an eye on market prices to get a good idea of what your box is worth.
How much should you buy?
How many Pokemon Booster boxes you should invest in really depends on what you want to do with the cards.
If you collect the cards yourself, a booster box is enough to get you off to a good start on the new set of cards. It is best for the average collector not to buy more than two or three booster cases. Two to three boxes provide a wide variety of cards and a higher chance of getting rarer cards.
If you are selling cards individually, you should also follow the instructions above. If you buy more than two or three booster boxes, you'll end up with a lot of cards that can't be sold.
If you sell sealed booster boxes, you can invest in as many boxes as you like. However, remember that you are still taking a risk! If Pokemon cards do the same as Beanie Babies, or a certain series isn't popular, you're making an investment that won't pay off.
Which Booster Booster Pokémon is the best to earn money?
The best boost box to buy to earn money is the latest box on the market. The latest booster box is a paid retail price box that gives you a chance to win more.
If you buy anything other than the latest booster box, you'll have to spend more because that box is less available.
(Also remember: if you know an existing cardboard box is a good investment, many others will too!)
You can then count on paying a premium.
What is the most expensive Pokemon booster box?
The most expensive Pokémon Booster Box to date is the 1999 Booster Box release. The first set of cards on the market.
How much money is a First Edition Pokémon Booster Box worth? One sold for over $150,000 in November 2020!
Be careful when buying Pokemon Booster boxes
If you're buying a Pokémon booster box, buy it from a major retailer to make sure your cards are authentic.
If you buy Pokémon cards or a Pokémon Booster from anyone other than a reputable seller, you risk being scammed. You could end up with a box of fake cards, a fake box with no cards, or a box of cards that is already open!
How to tell if a Pokemon booster box has been resealed
How can you tell if the amp box has already been opened and closed again?
- Look for the plastic wrap around the box with the Pokémon printed on it.
- If a mounting box is taped shut, it has probably been resealed.
- The box is poorly sealed and looks tampered with.
- The letter packs in the box look tampered with.
If you want to resell or unlock rare and valuable cards, booster boxes are definitely worth buying. Usually sold out booster boxes cost a lot more money, but they also have a lot more potential to buy a card that could be worth thousands.
If you want to buy and resell booster cases, it's best to buy the latest booster case on the market and hold onto it until its value reaches a point where you can make a reasonable profit.
Remember to always buy your cases from a reputable source to avoid fake or sealed amp cases.
